ATI   WB   is   a   nodal   agency   for   the   project   ‘Strengthening,   Capacity   Building   and   Awareness Generation   for   Effective   Implementation   of   ‘RTI   Act’   under   Department   of   Personnel   and Training,   Government   of   India.   The   project   started   in   January   2009   and   was   aimed   at strengthening   supply   and   demand   chain   of   RTI   Act.   Various   programmes   for   training   of information   providers   at   different   levels   as   well   as   campaign   activities   at   the   district   and sub-district   levels   for   information   seekers   are   being   designed   and   implemented   under   the project.
