Activities

The   Centre   takes   up   various   activities   for   sensitization,   building   awareness   and capacity    among    government    officials    and    functionaries    from    Panchayats    to urban     local     bodies,     from     NGOs     to     civil     society     organizations     and     local communities based on the new approach. The     Disaster     Management     wing     of     ATI     is     mainly     engaged     with     training intervention.    Trainings    are    imparted    on    disaster    management    issues    and disaster risk reduction issues. Besides   the   above,   training   courses   are   also   designed   as   per   needs   of   various organization   like   Police   personnel   attached   to   police   stations,   school-teachers, ICDS    Supervisors,    Medical    Officers    and    Nursing    officials,    field    officers    in Agriculture,   Animal   Resource   Development   Directorates,   Co-operative   Officers, Disaster Management Officers etc.
