Seminar on Challenges to District
Administration
Administrative Training Institute, Government of West Bengal and Indian Institute of Public Administration jointly organized a Seminar on “Challenges to District Administration in West Bengal” on 10th March 2007 at 2 p.m. The Seminar was organized at Darbhanga Hall of Calcutta University. Shri A.K.Chatterjee, IAS (Retd.) was the Chairman of the Seminar. Honorary Secretary, IIPA (WBRB) Shri P Bhattacharya, IAS Ph.D. delivered the welcome address at the Seminar. Fifty six participants were attended the Seminar, of these eleven were DMs plus the Commissioner, Presidency Division and the Principle Secretary of Power and ARD, the Secretary of Consumer Affairs Department and the Commissioner for Panchayats.

papers were excellent. Owing to lack of time the presentation by Shri
P.K.Mishra, IAS, D.M., 24-Parganas (North) could not be accommodated.
