The campus having an area of about 14 acres and located in lush green and pollution-free
environs of Salt Lake , Kolkata has spacious and aesthetically designed infrastructure.
The Institute has been providing quality training to officers of All India and State Civil
Services, State Government departments and service cadres. Training programmes are
conducted for elected representatives of Panchayat and Municipal bodies as well as for NGO
functionaries. The programmes cover induction level and functional training for officials of
different service cadres and departments as well as broad areas like public administration,
financial management, economic development, management development, trainer
development, information technology, disaster management and urban management. Well-
designed and comprehensive training modules lay emphasis on interactive and participatory
approach. On an average, the Institute conducts more than 100 training programmes in a
year. In 2012-13 220 programmes were conducted for a total of 5315 participants.
